Who we are

Afterbuild Labs is a professional services firm operated by Hyder Shah. Correspondence address available on request at hello@afterbuildlabs.com. Under GDPR we act as the data controller for enquiry and engagement data.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form or book a diagnostic, we collect your name, email address, and any project details you share. We do not sell or rent this data to third parties.

Lawful basis (GDPR)

We process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to a service enquiry you initiated) and, where applicable, contract (performing a scoped engagement). For analytics we rely on consent where required by local law.

How we use it

Your contact details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, with your permission, to send occasional updates about Afterbuild Labs services. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and optionally Plausible for anonymous usage analytics. Neither service receives personally identifiable information.

Your rights

Under GDPR and comparable US state privacy laws you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email ops@afterbuildlabs.com and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia have additional rights under state-specific privacy acts.

Data retention

Enquiry data is retained for up to 2 years. Engagement data (project correspondence, deliverables, invoicing) is retained for 7 years for tax and legal purposes. You may request deletion at any time by emailing ops@afterbuildlabs.com.

Cookies

We use no first-party cookies beyond what Next.js requires for navigation. GA4 sets its own cookies subject to Google's privacy policy. If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, our cookie banner lets you decline analytics.

Security

Enquiries and engagement data are stored in services with SOC 2 or equivalent attestations. Report security concerns via /.well-known/security.txt.
